Once you've understood The Principles Of Horsemanship, it's time to start putting them to use through The Purpose Exercises.

These are the exercises that will teach your horse the art of Liberty, by tapping into how horses learn and behave. Typically we teach these in the order listed below, but there are sometimes exceptions to the rule, and many times we are working on multiple at once!

  • MIRROR ME

    Episode 1

    This first real exercise is Mirror Me and is the basis of all Liberty.

  • THE PARTNERSHIP POSITION

    Episode 2

    When starting our work in Mirror Me, we like our horses to be in what is called The Partnership Position. This is the place we teach our horses to seek during Mirror Me. Mia demonstrates where it is and why she likes that position best for liberty work.
